Scenario: Industrial Security During Plant Expansion – Integration of External Security Forces

A mid-sized chemical company is expanding its production site with a large new facility. The construction work will span 18 months and involves multiple trades. The existing plant remains in full operation throughout the entire construction phase. The company’s in-house security department is already fully occupied with monitoring ongoing operations and cannot handle the additional construction site surveillance. Our company is brought in as an external security service provider.

The special challenge: The plant is subject to strict legal regulations (including operational safety, hazardous substances, and explosion protection regulations). External security personnel must not only be integrated into the general security procedures but also trained in the specific hazardous materials, emergency plans, and access regulations of the chemical industry.
